Game Tips

Although the game is pretty straightforward, one might be tempted to move the viruses from left to right, up and down randomly, and without any strategy, as seen in the following image:
While this method will get you a mile, it isn't sustainable if you wish to proceed to higher levels/viruses. Remember, each time you move the viruses, a new virus appears. This means that if you don't quickly remove viruses from the board, you will soon end up with available space, and you lose.
So the smarter approach will be to remove the viruses from the board as soon as you have the chance. Let's start a new game and look at the next image:
There is nothing special we can do here, so we will just swipe the viruses to the left:
The two viruses are now aligned to the left, and a new virus appeared, marked in red. Now, if we randomly throw viruses in any direction, we can miss this opportunity. Remember, each time you make a move, a new virus appears, thus clogging the board. The only way to overcome this clogging is to remove viruses as soon as you can. We can call it a zero-sum game; for every virus added to the board, we will try to remove one off it. So if we get back to our example, we will swipe the viruses to the left once again. This will collide both coronaviruses and remove them from the board.
As you can see, with one move to the left, we removed two viruses from the board, and a new virus appeared. This is how we keep the board as clean as we can.
Now let's check a more advanced technique. Let's check the following situation:
The only possible moves now are up and left. What do you think the best option will be?
If we move up, a new virus will appear, bringing more stress and burden to the board. But if we plan our moves in advance, we see that moving the viruses to the left will create us a great opportunity. It will place both red viruses one above the other. So in the move after that, we will be able to remove them off the board. Let's swipe them to the left.
We moved the viruses to the left and placed both red viruses one above the other. Yes, a new red virus appeared, but we don't care about it at the moment. Now we can remove the two red viruses by moving down. We can also move the viruses up; it doesn't really matter. The outcome would be that they both collide and be removed from the board.
Let's press down and see what happens:
As you can tell, we have managed to remove two viruses off the board for the price of a new red virus that appeared.
What do you think will be the right move now? Remember, if you can't remove any viruses in this move, plan one move or two in advance, and then remove them. That's it. You have finished our game tips. You can now go back and play Pandemiac. Have a nice day and stay safe! |
